Welcome to the Biological Stain Commission

The primary function of the Biological Stain Commission, as a non-profit organization, is to test biological stains to ensure their high quality. The BSC Assay Laboratory has tested stains for over 100 years. The Commission promotes education in the use of biological stains with its Biotechnic and Histochemistry Journal and published books and provides a forum for presentation of novel uses of stains at its BSC Annual Meeting.

2026 Update

We are pleased to announce that Luis Chiriboga, Elizabeth Chlipala, and Eduardo Rosa-Molinar Have been elected to the BSC Board of Trustees.  Thanks again to all of those who participated in their election.  More details will be provided in an upcoming Newsletter.
